Utusan Melayu Mingguan, is presently the only Jawi (arabic transcript) newspaper in Malaysia and becomes a staple for many senior citizens in the rural districts. The newspaper is targeted at a select group of reader and is still enjoyed by many regular readers mainly from the Northern, Eastern and Southern regions of the country.
